Southern Berkshire Registry of Deeds will discontinue public access to our office effective:

MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2020

Documents may be placed in the bin provided at our side entrance to the right side door of the Great Barrington Town Hall.

            We recommend calling ahead to let us know you are planning a drop off.

When leaving your documents in the bin, please provide a cell phone number or email address or phone number for us to contact

      you with questions. Please supply an S.A.S.E if you wish us to mail your documents back to you.

We also recommend e-filing or mailing your documents. Please see the list below of e-recording vendors.

Registered Land (Land Court) documents and plans cannot be filed electronically at this present time.

Consumer Notification Service

The new feature we have on this site is the Consumer Notification Service.  This service offers the ability for the consumers to submit their names (personal or business) to be monitored for potential fraudulent activity by a receipt of a notification from the Registry whenever a document containing the submitted name is recorded.
